The 73533-AA Kohler Whirlpool Pump is long obsolete.

The original system used a digital button that plugged into the bottom of the pump and was run by a circuit board.

All of those components are no longer being made.

If you have a problem with any of those parts you will have to replace it with this replacement system.

***********************************

Our replacement system is now using today's current technology in the WHIRLPOOL BATH INDUSTRY.

You will receive a variable speed pump and control system.

You will now have an infinite control of the amount of flow coming out of your jets.

Along with a wave function and a pulse function.

One gives you slow wave of water coming out of your jets ranging from the most intense massage to a slow massage.

The other wave function gives you a more pulsating change in pressure.

Set it to any speed or function you want and sit back and relax!

************************************

Installation is also a breeze.

The new controls are plug and play and the touch pad is peel and stick.

What can be simpler?

The pump lines up with the old unions and no plumbing is needed 99% of the time.

If you happen to be that 1% we include a FREE union to help get you back in hot water as soon as possible!

You will have to fabricate a new base for the new pump.

As you know, the old pump sat on the circuit board frame of the old system.

Most installers are just using old scraps of wood to establish a base for the new pump. (see pictures)

As long as it is mounted down to prevent an annoying vibration sound, you'll be fine.

This new pump control system should be plugged into its own dedicated GFCI protected circuit.

************************************

Now on to the heater. The original 73533-AA pump had a built-in heating element.

UL Laboratories no longer allows pumps to be made with built in heaters.

If you want to continue to have a heater in your tub you have 2 choices.

You can pipe in a TEE HEATER on the top of your new pump if you have the room for it like I show in

the video.

OR

You can pipe in a VACUUM HEATER on the suction line that feeds the water into the front of the pump.

Both of these heaters are listed at the bottom of this page if you wanted to order one.

Whichever heater you choose you will need to plug it into a DEDICATED 20 AMP GFCI PROTECTED OUTLET.

IT CAN NOT BE PLUGGED INTO THE SAME OUTLET AS THE PUMP!
